Oskia renaissance cleanser is really one of its kind, definitely a keeper. It has kept my acne prone, dehydrated skin in check.. along with Balance Me Congested Skin Serum. This serum is light on application, much like La Roche Posay’ Effaclar Duo with a strong dose of ecaluptus. I haven’t quite found a moisturiser to complete the ritual.
This was for me, love at first application. A lovely balance between moisture and glow on dry skin. There is plenty of shades to suit everyone. Because the coverage is sheer to medium, it won’t make a huge differnce if you happen to get a shade up or down. I picked the shade Tan 07, which has neutral undertones and is a near perfect match for me. (more…)
Month of summer parties is here! My base game is pretty much the same. Prepping with Nuxe Creme Fraiche (£16.50). This takes care of all the flakey bits in seconds without making it greasy. Sunscreen from Simple (£4.99). Bobbi Brown’s Skin Serum (£39)foundation goes on after. This is a SPF 40 with a light natural looking coverage. I’m skipping concealer and blending my foundation under the eyes as well.
Nothing says summer like a bright orangey-peachy lip but for a change, I switched to this beautiful bright purple pink lipstick from Dior Addict. They are one of my favorite formulation. Not too shiny, not too drying. This one is in the shade 771 Passionnée (£24).
Sally Hansen Airbrush legs (£9.99) in the shade light glow/01. I have scarring on my legs that I like to cover up and this does it well. This gives medium coverage while still looking like skin. It’s easier to blend and build up coverage with a tanning mitt, if you haven’t tried that already! Nuxe Huille Prodigieuse on top equals perfect pair of legs.
Latest offering from Bobbi Brown is this serum induced foundation that is meant to hydrate normal-dry skin as well as protect with SPF 40. Sounds like a perfect Spring/Summer foundation to me. They have 16 shades in this range with Porcelain being the lightest to Warm Almond being the darkest. I was shade matched to “Honey”. Like most Bobbi Brown’s products, this one has a light fragrance too, which to me smells like a mix of milder balm rinse with sauteed mushrooms. The highlight of this particular foundation is the ingredients in it -Lychee, Bamboo Grass and Cordyceps Mushroom extracts. Out of Dior Nude Air, Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue Tinted Gel, Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua and Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturiser, BB’s Skin Serum in undoubtedly the most hydrating one. If you have seen any promotional videos or just Bobbi talking about this product, you will know there is much science and Chinese skincare involved in making this.
