Hope you are all well. In the past few weeks, I have been feeling unmotivated when it comes to trying new things. Still looking for a good daytime/night moisturiser/treatment that’s suitable during pregnancy. Everything I have tried so far were alright, nothing that makes me want to repurchase or talk about really. So no retinol. Not too many essential oils, or heavily scented. I am sensitive to glycolic acid and salicylic acid. I am considering good genes from Sunday Riley, it’s ridiculously priced but my skin reacted well with lactic acid (that was not nearly as concentrated as in good genes) in the past. I am just not sure if it’s going to work at the moment. Have you tried it? How did your skin fare? Also, does it really smell bad?

Here’s couple of things I am loving. Starting with concealer..

Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer in medium dark warm (£17.50).

It’s a liquid concealer with medium to high coverage. I find this difficult to wear without a hydrating eyecream. The texture although easy to blend does not work well on dry surface. Something like Charlotte Tilbury’s magic eye rescue, kiehl’s avocado eye cream works really well. It will otherwise accentuate fine lines.

Ojon Restorative Hair Treatment. It’s unavailable at the moment. I am hoping Origins has a replacement soon because this stuff is better than straight-up coconut oil. This can be used on dry/styled hair and it seals cuticles from wind/rain/snow with a slight matte finish. Smells lovely, if you like coconuts.

Benefit Roller Lash Mascara (£19.50). I have mixed feelings about this one. It’s meant to roll your lash up without a curler and keep it there -that didn’t happen. However, as a mascara, this is pretty good. I don’t get the hook ‘n’ roll method either..goopy mess. I wear it like a regular mascara, light handed, one coat. It has some fibers in it which gives my lashes length but nothing dramatic. I am not a fan of seperated lashes or wildy clumpy -somewhere in the middle is where it lies and I can achieve that with this brush.

Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish in rose & lavender scent (£15.50/100ml). I don’t know what took me this long to try this cult cream cleanser. It’s gorgeous! It smells good and it works. Infact, all the scents in her range are quite nice. It emulsifies with water but without a cloth/muslin it doesn’t take off makeup well. Definitely, a second cleanse.

John Lewis Rib Weave Face Cloth (£1). Face cloth of my choice to go with this cleanser . These in particular have some texture which helps exfoliate slightly. It retains some heat which feels great on a cold night or morning. They are available in 9 colours. Mine is in the shade “Linen”.

Hemsley & Hemsley. Their website is as good as thier book. If you are in need of some veggie motivation -this is where you might find it. Warning -there’s a lot of prep and shopping if you are not up to date with food fads and gadgets -I am not buying a spiralizer anytime soon but it’s not essential either. Unless you plan to instagram your meals maybe.

Melvita Honey Balm (£10). If you like Nuxe reve de miel, you’ll like this one. The texture is similar -drier, matte. Scent is similar too. Similar to nuxe it’s texture creates a good base for matte lip products.
