I don’t remember the last time I was this obsessed with a makeup brand. It was near impossible to look at anything for more than few seconds. The Charlotte Tilbury counter at Selfridges was pretty jam packed. I did manage to bag some goodies though.
In love with the tutorial Charlotte did on her website using the colour chameleon eye shadow pencils. I know, I know.. its not a new concept. Look at that image though.. sold!
Amber Haze is meant for brown eyes, night time look. Of course those are not hardwired rules. This is a reddy brown antique gold with flecks of gold. It’s hard to see those flecks when swatched. You need to smudge it to seperate them before it sets. I have worn this four hour tops and noticed no fallout.
It sets within a minute and will not budge until I want it off. So it’s worth remembering to do one eye at a time if you are blending it out. It didnt crease or settle in either. Strangely, compared to the picture on website and my swatches the colour looks more gold on my lids. I’m guessing it’s something to do with my natural eyeshadow or lighting and I used no primer. I took the picture in natural daylight. Still loving the colour! Personally I’m not bold enough to wear this at daytime. Even the slightest swipe of this is noticeably bright. It’s buildable to a foil-like effect. It catches light so beautifully.. perfect for a party, an evening look.
The pencil is the kind that needs sharpening. Not a fan of that because you do end up wasting some product. The product sets so quickly that I reckon this kind of packaging maintains it’s consistency.
Priced at £19 for 1.6g of product. Available at Selfridges.
