This was for me, love at first application. A lovely balance between moisture and glow on dry skin. There is plenty of shades to suit everyone. Because the coverage is sheer to medium, it won’t make a huge differnce if you happen to get a shade up or down. I picked the shade Tan 07, which has neutral undertones and is a near perfect match for me.
The texture is a cross between mousse and cream -feels very light, not balmy. Works well applied with fingers alone. Something I learned over the past few months is, if you are looking for a base to fix or sit well over flaky skin, don’t look for it in a foundation. Re-consider your moisturiser and exfoliator. BM complexion rescue did not fix my dry patches either. But now that it is not an issue, it’s easily one of the best. I prefer it over Laura Mercier’s tinted moisturiser (drier finish than BM), Bobbi Brown’s skin serum (glowy-er finish than BM).
The best bit for me, it never looks cakey when re-applied, for SPF 30. I have noticed that it settles in my laugh lines but never under my eyes. I have used this as concealer -cancels out some color. It comes in a light plastic packaging, easy to carry with. I didn’t notice any oxidising, which can be a problem with moisturizing/emollient foundations. Looks good throughout the day -my top wear time is around 11-12 hours. Surprisingly, It held up pretty well, touching up at midday.
Notice acne scars and some pigmentation in the “before” picture. The lighter scars are pretty much invisible while fresher ones are lightened. This is two applications, lightly patted on the areas I want covered. Applying more than two layers at a time makes my skin look sweaty. So this is as much coverage as it can give on it’s own.
It is priced at £26 but currently available at around £20 in some stores.
Hope you are all doing well. I had such a rushed week, dozens of drafts to get through and blogs to catch up.. Can you believe July is almost gone? I know exactly what’s going in my next monthly favorites which will be up soon. Have a good day!
