Review: Philip Kingsley Elasticizer

Philip Kingsley ElastisizerThe Elastizer is quite a raved about hair product in the blogosphere. It is basically a pre-wash conditioning treatment that claims to add elasticity like the name suggests, increase shine and bounce. As most Indians know, we are used to pre-condition hair with oils. But this one is a cream, looks like any ordinary conditioner. I decided to try out the trial pack first, which includes a shampoo and conditioner. There are few other types of kits you can choose from, soft & shiny one is best for medium textured wavy hair.

Philip Kingsley soft and shiny trial packHow to use:

Dampen hair with water. Coat strands with elastisizer using fingertips and avoiding the scalp from mid-length to end. Keep it in for as long as you like, even overnight! Wash it out, then shampoo and condition as usual.

At this stage, I was pretty sure this was a waste of money. It’s only after I started blow drying my hair, that I noticed how much of a difference it made. I don’t know about bounce or shine but my hair was noticeably less frizzy and for the first time ever, didn’t lose a single hair. Not a single hair! From atleast a handfull of hair fluff to none.. that is pretty impressive to me.

Something you must remember is to not use it two days before or after hair chemical processing. It doesn’t have any fragrance or colour. I am now regretting not getting the full size. Amazed at the results, is the best way to put it. This is a must for color fried hair!
