Botanics Facial Oil

botanics facial oil review

Botanics is a Boots own brand. Have to say, was quite skeptical about this one. But reading the ingredients, put me at ease.

Here’s the ingredient list.

This is great to massage your face with. It sinks in and does not leave the surface oily but careful, little goes a long way. This didn’t make my skin oily until I put another layer on. That took longer to sink in. Since this is not my only moisturiser, I would say, 3-4 drops is enough for the whole face and neck. It comes in a lovely little glass bottle containing 25ml of pale yellow oil with a dropper top. I like the packaging.
botanics reviewOh and the fragrance is lovely! To me, it smells like almond oil and lemon..sweet, part citrusy. I believe they have changed the formulation a bit, since some ingredients on older blog reviews are different. Normally, it’s £9.99 but is available at £6.66 at Boots right now.
Some cons:
Sometimes, it tends to absorb slowly, about 3 min tops. So you might have to wait that long if you gonna put on make-up on top.
If you get excess oil on the inside top of the dropper, it can make a mess from leaking out later. Avoid that by not inverting the dropper.
Overall, I think It’s cheap, hydrates and worth a try!
