Been only a week since I got this but how much testing does a lip balm need anyway, right? Quite excited to talk about this one!
It feels slightly cooling on application. Maybe a teeny bit tingly but not like a mint would feel. It has a thick creamy texture with no sheen or gloss. It is meant to moisturize only and it does that well. If you like matte lipsticks or lip stains, this will be a lovely base. I love the texture. When you swirl your finger on it, it feels a bit bouncy? Not sure how to describe it exactly. After scooping out the waxy butter, you might need few seconds to a whole minute to work it into your lips and for the pink shade to sheer out.
Definitely not a swipe-and-go product. I noticed it works best on clean lips. Applying after a lipstick or other balm just does not work as well. It will collect the previous applied product and smear it around. It comes in a little plastic tub, so you have the sanitary issue. I don’t really mind since I use it right after cleansing face and shower.
The label says pomegranate and raspberry but it smells like bubblegum to me. Lips smoothen out on first application and it’s just a wonderful product. The label claims it is 100 percent natural, free of Parabens, SLS, harmful chemicals and colours. Here’s a list of the ingredients:
Pomegranate Oil, Berry Fragrance, Jojoba Oil, Beeswax, Kokum butter, Coconut Oil, Flaxseed Oil, Aloe Vera Extract, Carmosine Colour, Phenoxythanol.
I have noticed the packaging says “lip Lightener” on their website while the one I received does not. I am guessing the packaging has changed, since the manufacturing date on my product says -April 2014.
It is priced at 100 INR for 8gm.
